VOLUNTEER QUESTIONS

HOW LONG DOES A FELLOW VOLUNTEER?

A Pace fellow has to volunteer 3-6 months to be eligible to graduate from the program and receive a certificate to that effect.

HOW MANY HOURS OF SERVICE DOES A FELLOW HAVE TO DO?

A Pace fellow has to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week during his or her fellowship.

DO YOU PAY FELLOWS TO VOLUNTEER?

We do not pay Pace fellows, we instead provide a transport stipend to facilitate their movement from their residences to the school where they will be posted.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH SCHOOL A FELLOW IS POSTED TO?

We place fellows to the schools closest to where they live while also considering the schools that present the most need.

DO FELLOWS TEACH DURING THEIR VOLUNTARY SERVICE?

Pace fellows act as teaching assistants who help with marking, classroom management, extra curricular activities support, remedial, life skills and school improvement projects.
